The thought that there is nothing worth fight for and dieing for is absurd. Almost 4 years of combat, fighting with an all volunteer force, about 3000 KIA and 20,000 wounded. In terms of war, a small sacrifice. But for those who give all a large sacrifice, a sacrifice worthy of our support. We are not losing on the battlefield. If we lose it will be because of the boneheads that don’t appreciate the freedom and safety they are given with the lives of those who fight, gave in. I am sure those who cry about the terrors of war are also the ones who would stand by or run and hide as their families are raped and murdered
We are fighting an Islamic Jihad that is directly responsible for 9-11 and 3000 civilian deaths, almost as many died at Pearl Harbor ( Apox 2500).
I think a history lesson is due here, 1770's war fought for Independence, A lot of death, war 1812, Civil War, WWI, WWII etc more sacrifice and death. Those who have the freedom to speak do so because of a volunteer group of people gave all they had so future generations would sleep in peace at night. I guess the war dead never imagined that those they fought for would turn into a bunch of sniveling pansies not willing or able to maintain the freedom they sacrificed their whole lives for.
The more those idiots in Washington DC play with the lives of our military and treat this conflict we are in as political fodder for personal political gain the angrier I get. I pray, That’s right, you p-e in your pants, left wing liberals, Pray! I Pray that some how, some where, some one, will finally smell the coffee and treat this situation as a national emergency and not as a way to twist and manipulate their way to power.
